Getting Started

We test over 100 essential and advanced biomarkers to give you comprehensive insights into your health. See our extensive list on the home page

What does a Listen membership include?

Standard and Premium Listen memberships include:
     - 70-100+ biomarkers tested at the start of each year, with mid-year retesting of 70+ biomarkers.
      - Insights from top doctors based on your results.
      - Access to re-testing at transparent prices, as needed.
      - Access to purchase add-on tests (e.g. STDs, cancer screening, allegeries), as needed.
      - Access to purchase groundbreaking new diagnostics (e.g. Galleri Multi-Cancer Early Detection), as needed.

What are the costs?

Listen is entirely self-funded, with no insurance involvement. The price you see is the final amount you'll pay.

Who needs Listen?

Listen is designed for anyone interested in understanding and monitoring their health, including:
-   Anyone who wants to better understand their body
-   Health optimizers seeking to perform at their best
-   People managing chronic conditions who want data-driven insights
-   Proactive individuals interested in preventive screening and early detection

How quickly can I start?

Once taken off the waitlist, you can schedule your first test within days of joining.

Where can I get tested?

Listen is available throughout Australia, with testing conducted at any Healius Pathology Labs. With over 1,900 locations nationwide. See map.

How is Listen different from traditional GP visits?

While traditional healthcare typically responds to symptoms, Listen takes a preventative approach by:
-   Testing 100+ biomarkers for comprehensive health insights
-   Identifying potential health issues before symptoms appear
-   Enabling proactive health management
-   Tracking changes in your health over time

Does Listen replace my regular doctor?

No, Listen complements your existing healthcare. We provide extensive biomarker testing that most GPs don't typically order, as these tests aren't covered by Medicare or aren't part of standard preventative screening.

Is Listen covered by insurance or Medicare?

Listen is entirely self-funded and isn't covered by Medicare or private health insurance. We've chosen this model because many functional medicine tests aren't typically covered by traditional healthcare systems, and we believe comprehensive health screening should be accessible without requiring symptoms first.

How were Listen's tests selected?

Our test panel was carefully curated by our team of Integrative Doctors and Functional Medicine experts, based on extensive research into the most valuable biomarkers for preventative health monitoring.

Getting Tested
Where can I get tested?

Get tested at any of our 1,900+ partner Healius Pathology centers across Australia. See here.

How long does it take to get tested?

An average lab visit takes 15-30 minutes, however timing can vary significantly depending on pathology clinic demand on that day.

How much blood is drawn during the test?

The pathology lab collects approximately 30mL of blood to analyze over 100 biomarkers.

What do I need to get tested?

You'll need to present your digital QR code at the lab, which serves as your pathology request form. This will be sent to you via SMS/email after you sign-up for your membership.

How often should I be tested?

We recommend testing twice per year to track and improve their health over time. This is included in both Standard and Premium memberships.

Why do I need to re-test every six months?

Regular testing helps track your body's changes over time and monitors the impact of medications, diet, and lifestyle interventions.

Do you offer at-home test kits?

No. We exclusively partner with Healius to provide laboratory-grade testing, ensuring the highest accuracy for all biomarkers.

Do I need to fast?

Yes. Fast for at least 8 hours before testing, drinking only water. Avoid intense exercise before and after your test. Morning appointments are recommended for optimal hormone testing. Further details will be available in your personal platform.

Do I need to stop taking medications and/or supplements before testing?

Continue all prescribed medications unless directed otherwise by your healthcare provider. Consider pausing Biotin (Vitamin B7) 72 hours before testing, as it can affect certain hormone test results.
